On the road again

So, I see it's been awhile since my last post. Is there some rule about tibing or something?

I hit the road on Friday for the longest trip I've done alone. It was actually very tranquil until the thunderstorm hit about 4 hours into the drive. 6 and 1/2 hours later I arrived at my destination and proceeded to check-in to my hotel. Sick of driving I was thrilled to see they had a shuttle service. I asked the front desk clerk how long the shuttle ran and he said 24hrs and it will take me "anywhere" I wish to go. I give him my destination and he says "No, I'm sorry, the shuttle doesn't go there." Ummm....didn't you say it will take me "anywhere" I wish to go! I guess the word anywhere only applies to "anywhere" he wants to go.

Title?

I think that I have bloggers block. I sat down in front of my computer ready to post something entertaining yet nothing came out. So here it is for all of those who stop by. I'm going to sleep and hope something better comes to mind. Although most of my dreams I dare not share with people, at least not the x-rated ones.

Who are these people?

So I'm working at the Inn and I answer the phone, "Thank you for calling the 'Blah, Blah Inn' how may I help you?" Caller, "Yes, is this the 'Blah, Blah Inn?" Really, do I have to answer that? Come on, I just told you!!

Do people really pick-up the phone and dial random numbers hoping they reach their chosen destination? I usually know who I'm calling when I dial a number and the person answering tells me I've reached them!

Oh, and the best call tonight: "Yes, can you tell what number I've called?" I don't get it!

Fantasy Island

Ahhh, this is where I want to be! It sometimes feels like a dream to me that I was once here. Back here in the Mittin it's hard to believe that there is a place as beautiful as this out there. I'm not going to complain about our winter though! It's been great compared to what it could be. Still, I'd rather be on that beach getting a tan and hearing the waves. If you close your eyes you can almost hear them.
